Structured Reasoning, Not Black-Box Predictions.
PriorValue builds clinical intelligence from deterministic rules, versioned evidence, and structured patient context — with every step traceable and open to provider review.
Four Pillars of Clinical Intelligence
Each pillar addresses a different dimension of clinical reasoning. Together, they form a system that is transparent, reproducible, and accountable.
Clinical State
A structured representation of the patient's current context — demographics, active conditions, medication exposure, therapy timing, and relevant history. This is the foundation every evaluation builds on. Without a complete clinical state, even accurate numbers can mislead.
Deterministic Findings
Evaluations computed against defined clinical rules using reproducible logic. Given the same inputs and rule version, the output is always the same. No stochastic variation, no hidden model drift — findings are auditable and repeatable.
Evidence-Grounded Reasoning
Every clinical rule connects to versioned source evidence with stable identity. When a finding is generated, the supporting evidence is linked — not cited vaguely from memory, but traced to a specific, reviewable source document.
Explanation Trace
Each finding includes the supporting facts that were evaluated, the evidence that underpins the rule, and any explicit unknowns — information that was expected but not available. The clinician sees what was known, what was missing, and why it matters.
Handling What's Unknown and What Conflicts
Most clinical systems present a result and leave ambiguity implicit. PriorValue takes the opposite approach: unknown and conflicted states are first-class outputs.
Unknown-State Handling
When required information is missing — a lab value not yet collected, a therapy date not recorded, a relevant history not documented — PriorValue flags the gap explicitly. The clinician sees what is unknown and why it prevents a complete evaluation, rather than receiving a potentially misleading partial result.
Conflicted-State Handling
When observations contradict each other — a lab value inconsistent with the documented therapy timeline, or two results from different assay methods that disagree — PriorValue surfaces the conflict rather than silently resolving it. The provider decides how to weigh competing information.
What an Explanation Trace Looks Like
Every finding shows its reasoning chain — not as a narrative summary, but as structured, verifiable data.
